Belleair Recreation Department
For over forty years, the Belleair Recreation Department has been providing Belleair residents with a wide variety of programs and activities for all ages. Now the "Rec Department" can offer even more for the community.
The Dimmitt Community Center officially opened its doors in August 2006. This 14,000 square foot building houses the Doyle Family Gymnasium, Jack Eckerd Game Room, John R. Yevich Conference Room, a multi-purpose club room, and two multi-purpose lighted sports fields.
Youth programs include summer camp, teen camp, Fun Friday pre-school program, Funky Friday pre-teen and teen program, tennis instruction, t-ball instruction, karate instruction, art camp, tennis camp, football camp, multi-sports camp, basketball camp, soccer camp, flag football league and dodgeball league.
Adult programs include duplicate bridge, total fitness, pilates, jazzercise, karate, and yoga.
Annual special events include “Run for the Rec” 5K Run/Walk, Spring Fest, 3rd of July Picnic, Halloween Party, and Holiday Tree Lighting.
