Karla Rettstatt, Commissioner
Karla Rettstatt and her husband Larry Hineman have lived in Belleair for 12 years. They have a son Spenser and both of Karla's parents live with them. Commissioner Rettstatt previous service on the Historic Preservation Board, Planning and Zoning Board, and Recreation Board.have given her valuable experience to protect the unique and beautiful Town of Belleair. Past president of the Civic Association, Commissioner Rettstatt continues to volunteer at most of the annual events.
Commissioner Rettstatt is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Business Deegree and has retired from a 20 year career as area sales manager with Kraft Foods. Commissioner Rettstatt believes that everyone must get involved in order to make a positive difference in our community. She is the founder and past president of WONDERS. This group of friends helped many families throughout Pinellas County with educational opportunities through the Pinellas Education Foundation. For the past eight years this group has supplied food baskets to families, St. Vincent Soup Kitchen, and Brookwood Young Women's Center during the holidays. Her family also supports Women for Women International. This Organization gives women in war torn countries financial support to become independent, income producing individuals.
