Tom Shelly, Commissioner
Tom Shelly and his wife Karen live in Belleair with their son Nathan. Tom has another son, Jason, who lives in Houston with his wife, Erika, and daughter, Camille.
Tom holds a sense of great pride in the Town of Belleair due to its small-town atmosphere, open and accessible government, green spaces, and community-minded citizens. He cherishes the uniqueness of Belleair and strives to maintain the characteristics that attract people from around the country to the town. The same characteristics that attracted him to Belleair.
Tom started his career as co-owner of a Century 21 Real Estate franchise in Fort Lauderdale Florida. He was a partner with his grandmother who was his mentor and great friend. After several years Tom went to work for Eckerd Drugs, a career that spanned over twenty years. He held the position of Regional Merchandise & Marketing Director for Florida then Texas and Louisiana, during which time he lived in Houston for ten years.
In 2001 Tom decided to go back to his 1st love, Real Estate. He is currently the Sales Manager for Sunshine Commercial Brokerage, LLC
